Boston Dynamics Stretch is an autonomous logistics robot with a powerful suction gripper arm on a mobile base — built for unloading containers and truck trailers. It grips boxes up to 23 kg and handles several hundred cases per hour, across multiple shifts without fatigue. That solves one of logistics' hardest problems: manual container unloading.
The 7-DoF arm makes all gripping decisions autonomously in real time, without pre-programming. Stretch detects boxes via computer vision and unloads even chaotically stacked cargo — from plain brown to printed, whether neat or messy. Per the manufacturer it integrates into existing warehouse infrastructure and is operational within days of delivery, with no structural changes.
