The new Boston Dynamics Atlas is a fully electric humanoid robot at 1.9 m, with 56 degrees of freedom and IP67 protection — built for industrial material handling. The 2024 generation marks the shift from hydraulic research robot to productive industrial humanoid and moves with a continuous range of motion that partly exceeds human joint limits.
Atlas carries up to 50 kg at peak (30 kg sustained), works around 4 hours per charge and is rated for a -20 to 40 °C range. Target applications are machine tending, container unloading, part sequencing and order building in manufacturing and warehousing. Atlas is currently not openly for sale but runs in an early-adopter program with select manufacturing and logistics customers; a pilot is underway with Hyundai.
We facilitate qualified industrial inquiries to Boston Dynamics and coordinate onboarding, training and service. Configuration, CE assessment under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and warranty follow the early-adopter agreement.
