The Unitree R1 is a mobile service humanoid with two full gripping hands, a voice interface and a height of 160 cm — built for hotel reception, showroom guidance, care activation and library service. Instead of walking, it drives on mecanum wheels, gaining speed, battery life and quiet: around 45 dB instead of the noise of a walking humanoid.
At 1.5 m/s on the flat and 8 hours of battery, it stays in service a full working day without a charging break; the charging station auto-docks. The voice interface is based on Whisper and GPT-4o-mini and understands German, English, French, Spanish and Mandarin as standard; the Pro variant adds 25+ more languages and can run GDPR-compliant as on-device inference for data protection. The R1 cannot climb stairs — for that, the G1 or H1 is the right choice.
