The Unitree Z1 Pro is a 6-axis robotic arm with 2 kg payload, 740 mm reach and 0.2 mm repeatability — ideal for lab automation, pick-and-place and cobotic prototyping. Thanks to a standard ISO 9409-1 flange, it also mounts as a manipulator on Unitree quadrupeds and humanoids.

The arm is controlled via an open Python and C++ SDK with ROS2 bridge. The Pro version adds force-sensing in every one of the six joints — the prerequisite for force-controlled manipulation and safe human-robot collaboration in a research context. The cheaper Z1 Standard suits pure position tasks. As end-effectors, all Unitree Dex grippers (Dex5-1, Dex3-1, Dex2/5, Dex1-1) and common third-party clamps fit.

We ship the EU version with CE conformity and 24-month B2B warranty. Note: the Z1 series is not ISO 15066 certified; for productive, certified industrial cobotics we recommend appropriately rated systems.

Z1 Pro has force-sensing in every joint — required for safe human-robot collaboration and force-controlled manipulation. Z1 Standard is cheaper for position tasks.

Can Z1 be used as a cobot?+

Z1 Pro yes, in limited scope for research and demo applications. For productive industrial cobotics we recommend certified UR arms — Z1 series is not ISO 15066 certified.
