The Unitree A1 is the proven entry-level quadruped for robotics education and first algorithm experiments — robust mechanics, a simple Python SDK and 3.3 m/s speed. At 12 kg and 60 to 120 minutes of runtime, it is often the first choice at universities and vocational colleges.

Programming runs through Python, C++ and ROS; a large open-source ecosystem with plenty of tutorials has grown around the A1, which eases the start. For sensing it carries a stereo camera, IMU and foot contact sensors, and a LiDAR can be added as an accessory. The A1 is still produced in limited quantities as a teaching and research platform.

We ship the CE-compliant EU version with 24-month warranty from the EU warehouse, currently around 14 days lead time. Research and education customers receive a 10% education discount.
